Here’s a spectacular example of a key card of Hall of Fame backstop Roger Bresnahan from the elegant 1912 T207 Brown Border issue, a unique design of a kind of somber-brown motif that followed several years of colorful tobacco sets that rank among the most important in hobby history. The offered card is an attractive PSA 4 holder, a condition markedly better than these classic cards are typically encountered in mature collections. The silver-bordered card has virtually none of the ubiquitous “crackling” that often confronts this high-gloss issue, along with decent centering; the Recruit Little Cigars back is also uncommonly clean, with barely perceptible staining and toning, creating a compelling presentation of the biography and statistics of the great Hall of Famer.
