This is a fascinating group of the popular 1947-66 Boxing Exhibit cards, the 3 3/8-by-5 3/8-inch cards that featured attractive black-and-white photography of the legendary figures in the sport during a period that could be regarded as a Golden Age. The Exhibit cards, printed on a heavy cardboard stock with blank backs, are found here in a relatively wide condition range, with some of the earliest years in lower grades but by the 1950s and 1960s easily Ex-Mt or even better; the majority of the group is Ex-Mt or better, with literally dozens of Near-Mint cards and just a bit of duplication. The breakdown of some keys: Louis – Fair, Marciano – Good (mk), Graziano – VG-Ex, Carnera – Fair, Moore – Ex-Mt-Plus, Canzoneri – VG-Ex and Gavilan (2) – Ex-Mt-Plus.
