This is the fourth in a series of elegant sterling-silver season pass pendants, presented in a unique pennant-shaped design done in white and blue enamel, with “NY Giants 1921 Worlds Champions” in gold on the two-inch pendant, found here in Near- Mint condition. The back is engraved with “The Giants Bid You Welcome to the Polo Grounds, Chas. A. Stoneham, Pres. 1922”; the pass owner’s name, “Miss NE Cullen & Party” is engraved along with the serial number “332” and “Lambert Bros. N.Y. Sterling” at the bottom. The piece is another important artifact that is as rare as it is coveted, its importance amplified by the fact that the Giants earned their third World Series title in 1921, drubbing their co-tenants of the Polo Grounds in the Yankees, five games to three, marking the end of the brief experiment of best-of-nine World Series format. This also marked the last year that the Giants and the Yankees both played home games at the Polo Grounds as the Yankees would move into a brand-new Yankee Stadium in 1923.
