This is the 14K Gold companion piece to the famed New York Giants Season Pass Pendant Series, an artifact of magnified proportions since it was given to legendary New York City Mayor John F. Hyland, who held the position from 1918 to 1925. In the same design format as the elegant sterling-silver season pass pendants, it is presented in a unique pennant-shaped design done in white and blue enamel with 14K Gold borders, with “NY Giants 1921 Worlds Champions” in gold on the two-inch pendant, found here in Ex-Mt-Plus condition. The back is engraved with “The Giants Bid You Welcome to the Polo Grounds, Chas. A. Stoneham, Pres. 1922”; “Mayor John F. Hylan & Party” is engraved along with the serial number “3” and “Lambert 14K” at the bottom. The piece is another important artifact that is amplified the low serial number and its ownership by a legendary NYC Mayor from the middle of the Roaring Twenties. The only other “set” of the 14K Gold pendants known was issued to Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis, further signaling the extraordinary pedigree of these pendants.
