Of the quartet of Babe Ruth cards that highlight the legendary 1933 Goudey series, the issue of #144 is the only one that features Ruth in a full body pose, the other three using portraits of "The Sultan of Swat" surrounded by red, green and yellow backdrops. The featured example is graded PSA 3, and although the grade is technically accurate due to typical rounding of the corners and light staining on the reverse, the front surface isn't hindered by anything significantly detracting. The image of Ruth post-swing is sharp and enhanced by a particularly bright canvas of myriad colors that makes the issue so popular with the vintage collector. If you've wanted to add a Goudey Ruth to your collection and the PSA 3 grade is where your price point lies, this is a very pleasing example with no glaring weaknesses.
