Of the 321 examples graded by PSA to date, only five examples have ever graded higher! Striking ultra-high-grade example of one of Jim Thorpe’s most sought-after cards, from one of the most popular sets of the 1930s. Bright and crisp, and with perfect registration, the card exhibits four sharp corners, vibrant colors, and a flawless surface and reverse. Thorpe’s image contrasts sharply against the bright yellow background. The card is centered just a hint to the bottom. Sport Kings are the most popular multisport set ever produced. This 1930s gum-card issue includes champions from many fields of sport including baseball, football, basketball, boxing, hockey, and even dogsledding. This is a stunning ultra-high-grade example of one of Thorpe’s most classic cards.
