April 3, 2025: Spring Auction
This is an extraordinary grouping of the famous Baseball Exhibit Cards that were produced between 1947 and 1966 and distributed nationally by vending machines and other outlets; this array of the 3 3/8-by-5 3/8-inch cards is uncommonly pristine, with sharp photography and clean backs. As noted, the condition is stunning, essentially Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, with perhaps a couple Ex-Mt. Seems unlikely you could ever find these popular classics in better condition. The group is headlined by the legendary Hall of Famers of the period, including Mickey Mantle (2 examples – Portrait and Right Handed Batting), Mays, Koufax, Clemente, Ford (2), Yastrzemski, Kaline, Killebrew (2), Banks, Berra, Cepeda, Maris, Mazeroski, Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Billy Williams and Santo. And the rest of the gang ain't too shabby, either: Alvis, Bob Aspromonte, Battey, Ken Boyer, Callison, Cash, Chance, Cheney, Coleman, Craig, Farrell, Francona, Gentile, Gonzalez, Hinton, Frank Howard, Jay, Kranepool, Kuenn, Landis (VG-Ex), Linz, Locke, Mahaffey, Malzone, Maris, Mazeroski, McBride, Moon, O’Dell, Pappas, Pascual, Pearson, Peters, Pinson, Richardson, Brooks Robinson, Floyd Robinson, Frank Robinson, Rojas, Siebern, Skowron, Thomas, Wagner, Ward and Wills.
