Presented here is a near-complete set of the fabled 1951 Bowman Baseball issue, missing only the Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays Rookie cards and headlined by a strong PSA 3 Ted Williams No. 165 that also appears in a second Excellent card; the other slabbed cards include No. 113 (PSA 7), No. 270 (PSA 6) and No. 288 (PSA 6). Overall the set is basically Very Good to Ex-Mt, with a handful of cards above the range and a similar number falling below, mostly to Good. It is a simply outstanding accumulation of one of the truly iconic Bowman issues, coming in at 67 percent Excellent or better and fully 90 percent VG-Ex or better. By category it is 2 percent Near-Mint, 25 percent Ex-Mt, 40 percent Excellent, 23 percent VG-Ex and 7 percent VG, with only a half dozen cards below.
