Offered is an imposing example of one of the most important rookie cards extant, Mickey Mantle’s attractive 1951 Bowman Rookie, the horizontal masterpiece that is, of course, the key to the fabled 1951 Bowman issue and a hallmark item for any serious Mickey Mantle collector. The offered card is found in a PSA 2 holder and seemingly presents a bit better than the technical grade, with modest, even wear to four corners on a decently centered card that could pass for VG. The card provides a very appealing and consistent presentation front and back, making it a particular favorite for serious collectors of arguably the most popular postwar player in major league history.
