This a remarkable old-time auction lot that includes 100 Hall of Famers and a boatload of stars, minor stars and specials, all topped off by an extraordinary accumulation of more than 800 commons. The cards are classics from the first 20 years of Topps’ legendary tenure as a baseball card manufacturer; coming from a childhood collection, the condition range is broader than typically encountered, probably Good to Excellent condition, with some above and below the range and – as is typical with such accumulations – some condition improvement with the passage of time, with some of the cards in the 1960s closer to Very Good to Ex-Mt.
