April 3, 2025: Spring Auction
Presented is what is arguably the most difficult of all of the hundreds of Bobbin Head Dolls produced in the 1960s, the 7-inch 1960-61 Washington Senators Color Base piece. The figure is thought to have been produced in significantly smaller numbers, with the original Senators moving to Minnesota and Washington awarded an expansion franchise. For a version that is highly coveted in virtually any condition, it is found here in a very presentable state, jostled only by two pieces that have broken off from the back of the head, both of which are present and could likely be repaired by the winning bidder. That said, the piece still exhibits nicely, with crisp, vivid colors and gloss and an attractive presentation. The original box is included, but the top flap is missing. This is a rare opportunity to pick up what is surely one of the Holy Grails of the Bobbin Head genre.
