Here are three of the popular Hartland Baseball Statues produced from 1960-63 by legendary manufacturer Hartland Plastics in Wisconsin. In a roster filled with mostly Hall of Famers, the famed Hartland Series would become a favorite of advanced collectors. With its Wisconsin roots, figures of the three legendary Braves were a good place to start. The 8 ½-inch figures are one of the most coveted non-card vintage collectibles, a series of hand-painted figures depicting 17 current major league stars plus Ruth. These are nice examples of the important figures; the three figures have been affixed to attractive, custom-made stands that are 3 ¼-by-4 ¼ inches with a wood base; obviously the figures could be easily detached from the bases if desired. All three statues boast excellent paint jobs and a nice patina and light toning. The Aaron figure has some light chipping to his bat and minor cracking and chips to the homemade base; the Mathews and Spahn figures have no issues aside from light toning.
