Offered is an imposing array of Bobbin Heads from the White Base Series which ran from 1961-63 (one each from 1962 and 1967 Gold Base), confined to the Mascots and including a number of tougher figures from some of the legendary ball clubs of the era. In this sterling group, the lineup includes the Reds, Tigers, Indians, Cubs, Orioles and Pirates, along with a pair of the colorful Cardinals Mascot pieces. The Bobbin Heads present in was is basically Ex-Mt to Near-Mint fashion, with some exceptions noted, with outstanding paint and gloss, yielding bold, vivid colors and an attractive, consistent presentation. Here’s the breakdown (8): 1) Cardinals – chips to the cap brim, feathers, beak and underside of chin; 2) Cardinals – 1967 Gold Base, striking Near-Mint piece; 3) Reds – significant front and back of the head nicks, with Excellent Box; 4) Tigers – barest nicks to the underside of chin and base, with Good Box; 5) Indians – outstanding paint job, with some light nicks to the underside of the chin; 6) Cubs – wonderful paint job, with some light nicks to the underside of the chin and cap brim, with Good Box; 7) Pirates - 1962 Gold Base with superb paint job and gloss, barest nicks to the underside of the chin, plus Excellent Box; and 8) Orioles – another outstanding painting effort, with barest nicks to the underside of the chin and jersey back.
