This is a rare opportunity to pick up pristine 1962 Salada Coin team sets complete with the green plastic “plaques” that were available through a mail-in offer. A total of 70 coins are included in the lot, 10 per team, and seemingly Near-Mint or better condition, with each of the 1 3/8-inch in diameter coins snugly housed in the 9-by-11-inch plaque. Here’s the breakdown: 1) Senators – plaque is Near-Mint; 2) Angels – plaque presents Near-Mint but has ¼-inch crack at the edge that barely detracts from the presentation; 3) Cubs (with Ernie Banks) – plaque is Near-Mint; 4) Pirates (with Clemente) – plaque is Near-Mint; 5) Twins – plaque has a couple of tiny cracks at edge and point that hardly detract; 6) Phillies – plaque has tiny ¼-inch crack at the point; and 7) Braves (with Aaron and Mathews) – plaque has some cracking along the rim.
