Presented is an attractive partial set of 1963 Topps Baseball, an array loaded with many of the key Hall of Famers and specials, including Aaron, Mays, Gibson, Banks, Frank Robinson, Musial, Berra and more. It’s a nice grouping that is broadly Excellent to Ex-Mt, with perhaps three or four dozen cards above the range to Near-Mint and some below, mostly to Very Good but some Good. The emphasis is probably to Ex-Mt; the partial set presents nicely, with centering fairly typical for the issue. A bit more than a dozen cards have some pen writing on the front, that hoary maneuver where youngsters felt compelled to chronicle trades to another team in a permanent fashion. As is often found in older collections, the condition can improve a bit in later series, in this instance starting around the third series, with most of the Near-Mint cards appearing in that range. The No. 465 Chuck Estrada card has a ballpoint autograph. A listing of the 102 missing numbers appears at the end of this listing.
