This is a great opportunity to pick up a complete set of the popular 1968 Topps Baseball issue in a nice collectible grade, mostly VG-Ex to Ex-Mt, with quite a few Near-Mint cards and with some below but the emphasis to the upper end of the scale at Ex-Mt. It’s particularly noteworthy to find this issue in presentable grades since the quirky “burlap” borders from 1968 make this one of the true condition-sensitive offerings of the era. In a not uncommon trait in mature collections, the condition improves a bit over the last four series; many of the cards deemed VG-Ex earn the designation only because of barely perceptible bending or wrinkling and present in a fashion that would more typically approach Ex-Mt condition. Three of the keys have been third-party slabbed and graded: No. 230 Rose – PSA 6, No. 280 Mantle – PSA 3 and No. 330 Maris – PSA 6.
