This is an old-time auction lot with samplings from many of the great vintage basketball and hockey issues from the 1960s and 1970s, a group loaded with 254 Hall of Famers and stars (110 basketball, 144 hockey), found in a relatively wide condition range and offering a unique opportunity to pick up so many valuable and coveted cards in one setting. In some of the years – typically the ones with larger card totals – there can be some duplication, often touching the key cards in the issue. The hoops lineup features the likes of Pete Maravich, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Walton, David Thompson, Earl Monroe and Dr. J, to name a few, with cards from 1972-75 broadly in Excellent to Near-Mint condition with some below, and mostly Near-Mint of better after that. In the listings that follow, the cards listed are the players’ regular-issue version unless otherwise indicated.
