Offered is a standout 1972 Houston Astros road gray knit jersey with NOB removed, a coach’s shirt with zipper front functioning and Spalding Professional labeling and “72 Label 40” sewn in tandem on the center back tail. “Houston” and No. 1 on the back are sewn on in orange on midnight navy twill; collar trim is midnight navy/white/orange finely ribbed knit; the famed Astros team disc patch with midnight navy edgings and orange and light blue appears on the left shoulder, with tight zig-zag stitching affixed. The outline remnants of “Parker” are visible on the upper back. Parker was a veteran coach of 15 years for several teams between 1958-72 and played one year as a Tiger in 1938. The shirt shows solid wear.
