Under first-year Head Coach Ted Marchibroda, the ‘75 Colts put together an impressive 10 - 4 season, on their way to divisional playoff loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Perhaps more memorable today, is Marchibroda hiring of 23-year old Assistant Bill Belichick to his very first NFL job. Offered is a very rare, original promotional team photograph of the ‘75 Colts featuring Coaching aide Billy Belichick (as he’s called on the verso) on his first NFL squad. With no cardboard appearances until the 1991 Pro Set and Pro Line football sets, this 1975 Team Photo is the earliest Belichick NFL collectible extant. It's important to note, this image has been reprinted several times over the years, the offered example is the original, first generation printing of this important ephemeral relic. Of the few original team photographs which have turned up, the majority show scrapbook and photo album residue. This particular example is exceptionally clean, with no residue whatsoever. Overall EX-MT condition, with some light foxing on the verso. 8 ½ x 11 in.
