Presented is a nice 49ers Rawlings helmet dating to 1978, Size 7 3/8 to 7 ½, has dating to 8/78 on a sticker on the interior of the shell, thought to be a camp helmet with no attribution to a specific player. With original logos and striping, helmet has numerals 46 on the back which is thought to be incorrect, since the team never used numbers on the back of the outer shell. Has Rawlings chin strap and Green Dot OPO facemask with later-period clips. San Francisco logos are 3-5 mil. and by 1978-80 the team was using a thicker depth with clear plastic edging of ¼ to 1/8th of an inch.
