Presented is a game-worn Notre Dame midnight navy jersey from the period 1982-85 attributed to outstanding offensive guard Tim Scannell, one of the great offensive linemen of the period at Notre Dame and a second-team All-American in his senior year. Scannell appeared in eight games for the Irish as a freshman in 1982 and then was a three-year starter from 1983-85. The mesh jersey has the V-neck crossover, Spandex side panels and finely ribbed stretch knit sleeve ends. The NOB is screened directly on the jersey back; a large rectangular Champions label is at the tail along with a “3-inch Extra Length” flap tag and washing instructions. There is wear to the left sleeve, turf paint on the shoulders and surface wear dings on both sets of sleeve numbers.
