Presented is the counterpart piece to an adjacent lot offering the Stengel poster pre-production proof, in this instance the stunning 40-by-50-inch image of the Old Perfessor hawking Gillette products on a sturdy cardboard piece that was used as in-store promotional material for retailers. As in the case of the poster, the artwork of Casey Stengel and his enthusiastic endorsement of Gillette Super Speed Razors is nothing short of sensational. This is an absolutely massive presentation, brilliant and colorful. Condition appears excellent, with some light wear evident from in-store usage as a display and slight staining in one section and just a whisper of paper loss at another, none of which materially detracts from an eye-catching presentation. Nicely matted and framed, the piece ends up at a whopping 43-by-56 inches, a startling dimension for a great artifact from the legendary Yankees (and Mets) skipper.
