This 8x24 original Gil Thorp comic strip art is from March 5, 1966. The mythical coach of Milford High was featured in the long running comic by Jack Berrill. Along the left margin, the comic is stamped "Mar 5, 1966" and it includes: "To Phil: Best Wishes from Jack Berrill and Gil Thorp" written in black ink. The signature is inconclusive due to lack of exemplars, while the original comic arrives framed.
