This is a magnificent Jack Dempsey signed and inscribed original photograph taken with his lovely second wife Estelle Taylor who was an actress, singer and model and the studio photographer from Fox Studios Fred Parrish. Dempsey has signed, inscribed and dated this photograph August 4/26 in black fountain pen, months before his upset loss to Gene Tunney. Dempsey’s 1927 rematch against Tunney remains one of the most famous fights in boxing history - the controversial "long count" fight which Dempsey only lost after failing to move to a neutral corner after knocking down Tunney, who was able to regain his composure and win the match. This photograph remains in good condition with small missing chips in the corners and is much scarcer and more interesting than the more commonly seen images signed by Dempsey. Full LOA from BAS.
