Offered is an impressive late 1970s game-worn helmet attributed to quarterback David Whitehurst, who labored for The Pack for seven seasons from 1977-83. The helmet has yellow impregnated Riddell shell, Crown stamped 02/80, with PAC 3 interior padding system, Riddell front bumper intact and interior stickers of PAC 3 with July 79 warranty date and Size 7. There are marked notations of No. 17 on the crown and over the right ear hole. The outer shell has the green/white/green center striping, the famed “G” logo in correct millimeter depth and No. 17 in black Dymo tape at lower back-right adjacent to the striping, plus the open-eyed QB Riddell mask clips.
