In a blue-collar town famous for its embrace of sports heroes of the same description, Mickey Lolich was nearly as beloved for his numerous civic undertakings as his exploits on the diamond. This enormous 19-by-13-inch wood plaque was presented to the three-time All-Star for some of his off-the-field efforts: a gold-plated 7-by-9-inch nameplate bears engraving that reads: In recognition of election to the Babe Ruth League Baseball Hall of Fame for outstanding service to Babe Ruth Baseball, Mickey Lolich, 1970. The nameplate is encircled by a decorative braided frame; a 7-inch Babe Ruth League gold-painted player figure is affixed to the bottom of the plaque. All elements of the trophy appear to be essentially as-issued and problem free.
