Colgan's Gum and the American Caramel Co. took notice of what tobacco giants were doing to boost sales and added baseball cards to their product packages. "Stars of the Diamond" may have in-part cut down on the begging for cards that occurred when adults exited general stores or smoking shops. Naturally, the Georgia Peach is among the top names and this is one of the few cards on which he appears that will never have corner wear. Touches of edge wear are visible, but this one is a true gem and arrives in a SGC 7 holder. A scarce card in any condition and one of Cobbs' more unique collectibles.
