Imagine opening a pack of baseball cards in 1955. You stumble across the card of a relative unknown Dodger rookie. To look at Koufax in this setting, a rookie about to enter the majors, one would never imagine that the pitcher behind this boyish façade might grow into the most dominant left-hander in baseball history. Koufax’s career ended far too early. But for a brief period, he was as good or better than any lefthander, and arguably, any pitcher the game has ever seen. So take a moment to consider his rookie card. Consider what it means in terms of baseball history. Then consider if your collection or portfolio is really complete without this card. This particular single arrives in a PSA 1.5 holder with a couple light creases on the right side.
