Presented is a handsome game-worn white flannel vest jersey from veteran major league player, manager and coach Cot Deal. The Size 44 jersey shows considerable usage and light dirt and/or staining; Deal’s No. 42 appears at the front in Athletics green and gold tackle twill with some puckering evident. The adjacent “A” script logo Is visibly brighter in both colors, with no puckering and minimal fraying of the delicate stitching; the same description applies to the larger “42” on the jersey back. The gold and green stitching on the yokes and collar show considerable wear and usage, including fraying of the stitching. A Tim McAuliffe Inc. label appears on the front left tail, with flag tags of ’67 and Size 44 affixed directly beneath. The name Boehmer is written in marker on the inside of the tail below the McAuliffe labeling. All seven buttons are intact and without issue. Deal was the Athletics pitching coach for the 1967 season.
