This lot includes seven game-used bats from players on the 1964 St. Louis Cardinals World Series winning team, with Julian Javier, Charlie James, Dal Maxvill, Ed Speizio, Bob Skinner, Johnny Lewis and Carl Warwick. The details include: James 1961-64 H&B K55 with "23" on the end of the knob and a missing chunk on the back of the barrel; Javier 1961-64 H&B F4 with "25" on the end of the knob and numerous ball marks all over the barrel and a handle crack repaired with bat boy nails; Spiezio 1965-68 H&B F89 with "26" on the end of the knob and bat rack paint evident; Lewis 1961-64 H&B W212 with "28" on the end of the knob with pine tar on the handle and ball marks scattered on the barrel along with a handle crack; Skinner 1965-68 H&B S2 with "19" on the end of the knob in black marker with medium use on the barrel; Warwick 1961-64 H&B model W218 with ball marks on the back of the barrel and a handle crack; and Maxvill 1961-64 H&B model K55 with "27" on the end of the knob along with heavy use on the barrel and a handle crack.
