Presented is an attractive 14k gold medallion with eyelet issued by Racine College in Wisconsin, a 1 1/8-inch in diameter piece that appears to be in spectacular condition. One side bears the Racine College logo and “Champions 1888,” along with a four-leaf clover design and engravings “Intercollegiate League of the Northwest” encircling the edge. On the other side are laurel wreathes atop the words “Left Field RCN,” and engravings in Latin “Vigeaut Radix” and “Mens Sana in Compore Sans.” Those two phases translate to “May the root thrive” and “a healthy mind in a healthy body,” respectively, which just goes to show you that we did as much homework on this as we could.
