Though the title might imply co-equal billing for the other components, it’s really the Super Bowl Pins that carry the day here, with a glistening group of 76 pins that is the headliner, with most of those in sealed packages and the vast majority (63) are linked to the Super Bowl, with a handful of others from the Super Bowl Card Show, the NFL Draft and a pair of lonely Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl outliers. As noted the pins appear to be in sterling, virtually as-issued condition, with almost no duplication in the Super Bowl group and pins sponsored by a wide variety of corporations and the like. Here’s the breakdown of the Super Bowl Pins (We’ll use the year in question rather than Roman Numerals, which, let’s be honest here, are just annoying). Super Bowls (63): 1991, 1992, 1993 (7), 1994 (6), 1995 (6), 1996 (5), 1997 (4), 1998 (2), 1999 (5), 2000, 2002 (2), 2003 (4), 2004 (4), 2005 (2), 2006 (4), 2007 (4, one is a keychain), 2008 (2), 2009 (2) and 2010; one dozen other pins include seven from various years of the Super Bowl Card Show, two from the NFL Draft and one each from the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl and GTE; Super Bowl Paperweights (2) – full tickets embedded in 3 ¼-by-7 ¼ inches and 1-inch deep Plexiglass, Near-Mint to Mint or better in original boxes: 2000 and 2008; Super Bowl Ballpoint Pens (9): all are Near-Mint-Plus, some in packages as noted – 1991 Garland in box, 1992, 1996 Parker in box, 1998, 2000 in package, 2001 Parker in box, 2004 (3), including one Parker in box.
