This is a huge grouping of the popular non-sport Hartland statues from the 1950s, the charming Western pieces that portray many of the legendary figures from America’s West, film and television. The lineup includes many of the most coveted pieces, generally in outstanding condition and including horse and rider, with some of the accessories present. The lot provides a rare opportunity to launch on an extensive Hartland Western Figures Collection with a single bid, picking up nearly three dozen important collectibles from a beloved non-sport genre. From Roy Rogers and Dale Evans to Wyatt Earp, the Lone Ranger and Tonto and a host of others, those legendary Western heroes are presented here in figures – often with their nearly-as-famous horses underneath – in highly presentable fashion. The only discouraging word to be heard in this episode would be that some of the fabled accoutrement – guns, bows, hats, etc. – might be AWOL in some instances, but even that is fairly easily addressed by numerous online opportunities to pick those up at reasonable prices. Here’s the breakdown: 1) Roy Rogers – blue shirt, with no hat or guns – Near-Mint, and tan horse Trigger and saddle in superb condition – Nr-Mt, with reins; 2) Roy Rogers – blue shirt, with no hat or guns – Ex-Mt, with slight scuffs on nose, toes and fingertips and tan horse Trigger and saddle in outstanding Ex-Mt condition, with reins and a few light scuffs; 3) Roy Rogers smaller version with horse and hat – Ex-Mt; 4) Roy’s German Shepard Bullet – presents Nr-Mt but nick on ear; 5) Dale Evans - figure is essentially in Near-Mint condition, with superb, vivid green outfit; also included is the colorful 9 ¾-by-8 ½-inch box (Fair), with the box top present but separated. Buttermilk is in virtually the same pristine condition as Dale herself, jostled only by some light residue from the Near-Mint saddle. Dale’s hat is missing; 6) Dale Evans – green shirt with no gun or hat and barest scuffing on boots – Ex-Mt and Buttermilk and saddle Nr-Mt; 7) Lone Ranger – with no guns and white walking horse, figure is Nr-Mt, as is saddle, plus Ex-Mt horse with reins; 8) Lone Ranger smaller version with horse, figure presents Very Good but has nose chip and nick on his hand – horse is Nr-Mt; 9) Tonto – with brown shirt and white horse, with feather intact and one gun in holster – figure is Ex-Mt with slight paint loss noes, toes – horse is Ex-Mt Plus; 10) Wyatt Earp – with hat and no guns, Nr-Mt, with Nr-Mt brown horse with reins and superb saddle; 11) Matt Dillon – with no gun or hat, Nr-Mt, with grey horse and very nice saddle, no reins; 12) Lucas McCain – figure presents Excellent, but left foot/boot missing and slight scuff to nose and hand; 13) Jim Bowie – figure is Very Good, with no knife and nick on his nose, with Nr-Mt horse with no saddle or reins; 14) Paladin – navy blue shirt, presents Ex with some paint loss on nose, finger and shots – no accessories; 15) Paladin – navy blue shirt – Good with paint loss – no accessories; 16) Cochise – Very Good, with no saddle, gun or bow and with hand broken and scratching on shirt and paint loss on nose and toes – horse is Ex-Mt with no reins; 17) Chief Thunderbird – presents virtually Nr-Mt, with no accessories and barest scuffing; 18) Chief Thunderbird – slightly different version with red arm band on silver, better gloss on body and red blanket at front; 19) Tom Jeffords – green pants, yellow scarf with no guns or horse – Ex-Mt; 20) Tom Jeffords – yellow pants, red scarf with no guns or horse – Nr-Mt; 21) Hobie Gilman – presents Ex-Mt, with no horse or accessories, bit of light scuffing; 22) Seth Adams – presents Ex-Mt, no horse or accessories, with slight chip to nose and paint loss to elbow; 23) Gunfighter figure – red shirt with chaps, no horse or accessories – Nr-Mt; 24) Small Gunfighter figure – green pants and bolo tie with brown horse – no other accessories – Ex-Mt; 25) Jockey – with red shirt, presents Ex-Mt with paint loss to shirt; 26) Matt Dillon’s Horse – grey, with no reins – Nr-Mt; 27) Maverick’s Tan Horse – Ex; 28) Dark Brown Horse – no reins, Nr-Mt; 29) Long Ranger’s White Horse – no reins, Nr-Mt; 30) Brown Horse – with ornate saddle and reins, Nr-Mt.
