Presented here is an impressive group of nearly four dozen of the 1971 Topps Supers, the oversized – 3 1/8-by-5 ¼-inch – cards with full-bleed color photos that rank it among the more spectacular of the Topps vintage peripheral issues. This particular group features 10 Hall of Famers, some even with duplication, including the likes of Aaron, Clemente, Rose, Killebrew and Seaver, to name a few, and a nice overall presentation that features more than half of the array in Ex-Mt to Near-Mint condition. Here’s the breakdown: Near-Mint (12) – No. 3 (2), 4, 7, 11, 12, 15, 20 Rose, 21, 35 Santo and 47 (2); Ex-Mt (11) – No. 6 Perez, 24, 27, 30, 33 (2), 27 Clemente, 39, 53 Seaver and 63 (2); VG-Ex (10) – No. 12, 18 (2), 24, 29 (2), 33, 36 (2) and 38; Very Good (2) – No. 8 (2); Good (3) – No. 44 Aaron (2, one has misaligned back section) and 53 Seaver; Fair (5) – most present better but have small pinholes at top – No. 10, 11, 53 Seaver, 60 Killebrew and 63: Poor – No. 8; there is also a Fair condition No. 7 Freehan from 1970 Topps Supers.
