This Cardinals dri-fit shirt and wristbands are from 2014 and signed by the late Oscar Tavares. Known as "El Fenómeno" (Spanish for "The Phenomenon") in the Dominican Republic, the Cardinals signed him at age 16 in 2008 as an international amateur free agent and he made his MLB debut in 2014. The "can't miss" prospect played only one season for the Cardinals and on October 26, 2014, he died in a car accident in the Dominican Republic shortly after the Cardinals were eliminated from the playoffs. The signatures on his wristbands are pre-certified by BAS, but the signature on the shirt was deemed to sloppy to render an opinion.
