Presented is a pair of game-worn minor league pants attributed to John Pandis in 1969-70, a career minor leaguer in the Phillies farm system those two years, but also linked to veteran major league hurler Joey Jay. The pants have “Pandis” printed boldly in marker on two places on the waistband; alongside is a team-embroidery “Jay 67” label and an adjacent Wilson Size 37 label. In addition to the Pandis writing, there are additional handwritten notations of “26” and “Gamer,” and some others not legible. The red-pinstriped Phillies pants are in excellent condition, showing game usage and intact and problem-free throughout. Pandis seemingly gets top billing as the last chronological owner, but the usage by the two-time major league All-Star Jay, who won 20-plus games twice for the Reds in a 99-91 major league career, is also noteworthy.
