Presented is a truly attractive color photograph of two of the most beloved players in the New York Yankees long and storied history as rendered by one of the great postwar photographers, Ozzie Sweet. The image pictures the two Yankees legends in dual portrait fashion in an iconic image that has appeared in numerous books about Mantle and Sweet’s acclaimed photography. The 17-by-22-inch color photo is instantly recognizable by serious fans and collectors as belonging to Sweet, one of the photographers most closely linked with Mantle throughout his career. The image is further matted and framed to 23-by-28-inch dimensions; all elements are pristine and seemingly as issued, including the elegant blue-and-white matting and the black polished-wood frame and Plexiglass.
