Virginia may be for lovers, but in this instance it would seem to be for lovers of legendary Yankees from just up the road in New York. Behold a pristine 2001 State of Virginia License Plate with “L Gehrig” in blazing navy blue on the sparkling off-white plate. The plate has the appropriate month and year stickers issued by the good folks at the Department of Motor Vehicles affixed to both upper corners; plate is seemingly as-issued and problem free, with just enough of a hint from the upper screw holes to suggest this plate actually saw some action on Virginia’s thoroughfares at some point. Also comes with the original mailing envelope from the Department of Motor Vehicles in Richmond.
