They were one of the fabled clubs of the decade, the Julius Erving-led Philadelphia 76ers in 1976-77, with 15 players and coaches from the team represented in this unique Canada Dry Ginger Ale label display. Along with the legendary Hall of Famer Erving, the team was loaded with NBA notables and All-Stars, a designation that includes names like Doug Collins, George McGinnis, Darryl Dawkins and Lloyd Free. Precisely titled “Team of the Year,” the uncut sheet of soft drink labeling measures to 26-by-27 inches on a thick, heavy cardboard. The sheet displays three players across and five deep, with some of the expected damage to the corners and a visible gash along the left edge; most of the damaged areas could be reasonably well concealed by a close matting arrangement. Players and coaches pictured include: Erving, Donleavy, Jones, Bibby, Collins, Free, Bryant, Furlow, McGinnis, Catchings, Mix, Dawkins, McMahon, Shue and Trainer Domenico.
