Offered is a compelling example of one of the most important rookie cards extant, Mickey Mantle’s attractive 1951 Bowman Rookie, the horizontal masterpiece that is, of course, the key to the fabled 1951 Bowman issue and a hallmark item for any serious Mickey Mantle collector. This is a collector grade example, four mildly rounded corners, good colors, and 80/20 centering top to bottom, with 60/40 left to right. Clean front and back, with a couple light print lines on the front, as are so commonly found with this card. The front has nice color and might pass for VG, while the back has some paper loss and discoloration. This is a great chance to pick up an affordable Mantle rookie, with nice overall eye appeal and arriving in a BVG 1.5 holder.
