This Louisville Slugger model M216 was used by Michael Jordan during the 1994 season when he was with the Birmingham Barons of the Southern League and the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League. The bat measures 35" long and weights 32.8 oz and exhibits evidence of substantial use with a crack on the back barrel. The back barrel also displays a fair amount of checking from contact and this amount of checking is generally associated with batting practice use. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right, left and back barrel, including white leather scuffs. There is a light coat of pine tar on the mid-handle and the weight is written on the knob in silver marker. The Jordan bat arrives with a full LOA from PSA/DNA's John Taube, who attributed the use on the bat to that of Jordan, but due to the condition of the barrel, indicated it was most likely designated for batting practice use.
