Roberto Clemente headlines an august group of a half-dozen major stars from 1957 Topps, part of an all-PSA-slabbed array that also includes arguably the most coveted and important Team card of the era and a Combination card with similarly exotic sentimental value. We'll start with an attractive No. 76 Clemente in a PSA 5 holder that seemingly has a claim to a somewhat higher blessing; a nicely centered No. 2 Yogi Berra is also a PSA 5 and a No. 90 Warren Spahn is a PSA 6. Yankee great Tony Kubek’s difficult No. 312 Rookie card is a blazing PSA 7, as is a No. 165 Ted Kluszewski, one of the great NL sluggers of the Golden Era of the 1950s. A second Rookie card from the tricky Middle Series, Bobby Richardson No. 286, is a PSA 6. The final two pieces – No.324 Dodgers Team and the fabled No. 400 Dodgers Sluggers – are especially poignant since they represent two of the final Brooklyn pasteboards of the beloved franchise that unceremoniously relocated to the West Coast following that 1957 campaign. Both come in at PSA 5.
