Here are five of the key stars to the coveted 1957 Topps Baseball issue, found in a highly attractive overall condition that is even greater than their technical grades. An Excellent No. 18 Don Drysdale Rookie headlines in a handsome pasteboard that presents in Near-Mint fashion but is relegated to Excellent only because of centering on the back. No. 10 Willie Mays comes in at Very Good to Excellent and the third-year Sandy Koufax No. 302 at Very Good-Plus, the latter seemingly presenting Near-Mint but jostled only by a tiny wrinkle that is barely visible on the front and more easily spotted on the back. The final two elements of the lot are an Ex-Mt No. 170 Duke Snider and an Excellent example of No. 338 Jim Bunning’s important Rookie.
