This lot features 10 nearly identical team-signed baseballs from the 1988 MLB vs. Japan All-Star Game. Nine of the balls have 27 signatures, with one having 26 signatures. The following players have signed each of the 10 balls once: Sparky Anderson, Alex Grammas, Roger Craig, David Cone, Mark Gubicza, Orel Hershiser, Danny Jackson, Jimmy Key, Greg Maddux, Doug Jones, Jeff Russell, Mark Davis, Terry Steinbach, Andres Galarraga, Fred McGriff, Barry Larkin, Alan Trammell, Bobby Bonilla, Vance Law, Paul Molitor, Ellis Burks, Dave Henderson, Willie McGee, Rafael Palmeiro and Kirby Puckett. The exceptions include: Bobby Bonilla, who signed 11 times, with one on nine different balls and twice on the 10th ball; Vince Coleman and Harold Reynolds signed eight of the balls; Benito Santiago signed just one of the balls; and Tim Laudner doesn't appear on any of the balls.
