Offered is a Minnesota Twins 1973 game-worn road powder-blue pullover style jersey attributed to utility man Dan Monzon. The all-original shirt has “Twins” across the chest in script and his No. 14 on the front and back, all in red-on-blue tackle twill. There is some puckering of the scripted “Twins” and on the large number 14 on the back, with some fraying of the stitching surrounding it, along with more team repairs in black stitching where it would typically only be in red. The collar of the jersey features a "73 Set 2" year swatch but no Wilson labeling on the inside of the back collar. A well-worn Twins team logo patch with some fading and fraying of the delicate stitching is located on the left sleeve. There is evidence of a team repair on the inside of the shirt corresponding to the No. 1 in his No. 14, with white stitching visible on the outside; less ambitious team repair is visible one the No. 1 of his number on the front, with white stitching visible. The jersey shows moderate evidence of game use. This was an important and unique style in that 1973 was the first season the Twins wore these popular road pullovers.
