Here are two large groupings from popular mid-1970s Topps football issues, arrays that include some Hall of Famers and many stars and specials, with some duplication and the vast majority of the cards in a solid Ex-Mt to Near-Mint condition, with some falling below the range. The 1976 Topps array totals 296 cards, as noted Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt, with a strong emphasis to the upper end of the range at Nr-Mt and perhaps four or five dozen cards reaching Excellent and a similar number Very Good; there are some off-centers and miscuts included. A No. 395 Staubach headlines the lineup and presents in Ex-Mt fashion but is relegated to Fair because of back damage; other standouts include Morris, Hannah, Culp, Barney, Kelly, McKenzie, Parrish, Sanders and Dempsey, to name a few. There are 29 of the Team Checklist cards included in the mix and they fall to the lower end of the grading spectrum (all are marked). The 1977 group is much larger at 475 cards and in markedly better overall condition, essentially Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with the overwhelming emphasis to Near-Mint, with a few falling below to Excellent or Very Good. The lineup includes the likes of Little (2), Bethea, Wagner, Selmon, Joiner, Brazile, Gradishar, Culp, Jones (Fair), Dobler, Morton (2), Sipe, Wehrli and Hart, among others. In addition there are 35 Team Checklist cards; 25 are marked.
