Here’s a striking vintage New York Knicks jersey from the gauzy years of the 1970s when the team electrified Gotham by winning a pair of NBA titles in a four-year span. This all-original jersey came one year later, worn by journeyman Jesse Dark, a 6-5 shooting guard who donned this white mesh treasure in his only NBA season. The shirt has “New York” across the front and Dark’s No. 11 front and back, all in orange and blue tackle twill. His name appears in blue tackle twill across the back affixed directly to the shirt; orange and blue elastic trim appears at both shoulder yokes and the collar. Gerry Cosby labeling is directly above the Sand-Knit manufacturer’s label on the front left tail. Shirt shows game use and minimal fraying of the delicate stitching on the tackle twill elements.
