Offered is a Chicago Cubs home pinstripe jersey from 1981, with attribution to infielder Joe Strain but sporting a No. 55 on the back, which does not correspond to the strip tag on the collar. Team-executed number change suggests jersey most likely worn in spring training. Wilson Size 40 tag is sewn at the collar along with a strip tag reading "17 81 1 40" indicating the uniform number, year of issue, set number and size. An "81" box tag is also sewn to the outside tail while the famed circular Cubbie Bear logo patch is present on the left sleeve. Below the Cubs “C” logo patch on the front there is evidence of team repair to the inside of about 4 by 2 ½ inches; another small team repair appears on the inside of the first “5” of the NOB. Shirt shows light game use.
