Offered is high-grade example of the 1976 Topps Basketball set, missing a mere five cards, found in a striking mostly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint condition and with key Hall of Famers and stars nicely conforming to the broader condition range. It is one of the most spectacular and coveted basketball issues of the era, with the largest mainstream sports cards ever produced – 3 1/8-by- 5 ½ inches – portraying the great stars of the 1970s with bold, vivid colors and excellent gloss. The set comes out to 35 percent Near-Mint and 50 percent Ex-Mt, 8 percent Excellent and fewer than a dozen below. The five missing numbers are No. 19, 25, 57, 66 and 96.
