Offered is an extremely rare uncut sheet (5 5/8-by-7 1/8 inches) featuring six 1935 Goudey cards and picturing the complete black-and-white Puzzle of Hall of Famer Joe Cronin. The reverse of the 1935 Goudey cards features Puzzle pieces, which when assembled form an approximately 6-by-7 ¼-inch black-and-white baseball picture, with this example cut a bit more tightly to the dimensions shown above. One of the most fascinating qualities of an uncut 1935 Goudey sheet, in addition to the novelty of its great rarity, is that when turned over one can view the reverse Puzzle already assembled, as it appeared before being cut. Each 1935 Goudey card front features four players. Among the 24 players featured on this six-card uncut sheet are five Hall of Famers, including Al Simmons, Mickey Cochrane, Joe Cronin, Jim Bottomley and Goose Goslin. The six cards included on the sheet are Nos. 2, 10, 11, 14, 24 and 26 according to the numbering in the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards. The sheet presents VG-Ex, with only the barest of corner wear. Like all Goudeys, R321s were originally printed on 24-card sheets and are a lot rarer in sheet form than other 1930s Goudey issues. Sheets that are known were often cut as this one was, in accordance with maintaining a complete Puzzle back image.
